Boyd baseball’s undefeated run in District 10-3A has come to an end. The Jackets dropped both games of the “Battle of Highway 114” series to Paradise last week, losing 7-1 in Boyd on Tuesday and 10-0 in Paradise on Friday. Boyd falls to 19-2 overall and 4-2 in district play, tied for second with Ponder and two games behind Paradise for first place. The Jackets face a chance to bounce back this week with a series at Whitesboro. Tuesday’s opener is in Whitesboro, followed by the return game Friday at Boyd.
Lady Jackets softball continues its dominant season, riding an 18-game winning streak and firmly in control of the District 10-3A race. Last week, Boyd defeated rival Paradise, 4-0, and then beat Whitesboro, 4-1. The Lady Jackets improve to 23-2 overall and 7-0 in district play, holding a two-game lead over Paradise and Whitesboro. This week, Boyd hosts Pilot Point on Tuesday.
