Boyd – The Boyd Yellow Jackets return home Friday to face Bowie in a key District 4-3A matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Boyd is 3-3 overall and 0-2 in district play after a 44-14 loss at Vernon last week. The offense managed just over 200 total yards, though quarterback Cash Selby threw a touchdown pass. Bowie is 4-3 overall and 1-2 in district play following a 49-43 win over Ponder. The Jackets likely need to win their next two games to remain in playoff contention.
In volleyball, the Lady Jackets could officially clinch a playoff berth as early as Tuesday with a win at Callisburg. Boyd is 26-9 overall and 8-0 in District 10-3A, leading the standings.
The cross country season wrapped up last week at the District 10-3A meet, which Boyd hosted.
