BRIDGEPORT, Texas — The 2025 high school football season begins Friday for the Bulls as head coach Aaron Cupp enters his second year leading the program.

Bridgeport finished 3-7 in 2024 and looks to build with more experience. Senior quarterback Dylan Hunter returns to run the offense after throwing for 877 yards and eight touchdowns last fall. The Bulls closed fall camp last week with a scrimmage at Boyd.

Bridgeport opens at home against Wichita Falls City View, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. at Bull Memorial Stadium. The Mustangs, who won nine games last season and reached the postseason, present a tough challenge.

In volleyball, head coach Chris Rudiger’s program wrapped up play in the Haltom tournament this past weekend. The Sissies will host Eastern Hills of Fort Worth on Tuesday.

Bridgeport’s boys and girls cross country teams competed Saturday at the Peaster meet.
