Bulls basketball will begin to put its season in full motion this week as the team comes off the Thanksgiving break. Last week, Bridgeport played only one game, a 55-38 loss at Gainesville. The Bulls are 1-2, but sophomore guard Julius Johnson is off to a fast start. He scored 18 points and went 8-for-13 from the field. Johnson is averaging nearly 21 points per game so far.

The Bulls play Tuesday at Sanger, followed by the Venus Tournament from Thursday through Saturday.

The Sissies enter the week at 7-2 coming off the break. They played one game last week, beating Ponder 42-32. The game was tight going into the fourth quarter, but the Sissies outscored the Lady Lions 13-4 in the final period to pull away. They played at Nocona on Saturday and will hit the road again Friday to face the new Richland program in Prosper ISD.

And the boys and girls soccer seasons are not far away.
