Bridgeport football has wrapped up its offseason program as the Bulls transition into summer strength and conditioning work along with UIL-approved sport instruction programs.
Coach Aaron Cupp’s team is also nearing the end of its participation in a May 7-on-7 league hosted by Bowie, which is expected to conclude around Memorial Day.
Cupp has also made changes to his coaching staff heading into the 2026 season. Offensive line coach Jeff Oliver has been promoted to offensive coordinator, replacing Frank Wilson. Oliver brings previous experience as an offensive coordinator after serving in that role at Itasca before arriving at Bridgeport.
On defense, Lane Pinkston has been hired as the Bulls’ new defensive coordinator, replacing Bruce Bevers. Pinkston joins the program from Lake Worth.
In other athletics news, Peggy Barton has been named Bridgeport’s new tennis coach.
