The Bridgeport High School boys soccer team has learned its matchup for the opening round of the Class 4A state playoffs.
The Bulls will face Canyon Randall in a Division I Region I playoff game scheduled for Thursday in Burkburnett. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
Bridgeport enters the postseason with a 16-3 record after finishing as co-champions of District 4-4A alongside Decatur. Both teams posted a 7-1 mark in district play.
Canyon Randall brings a 13-6-2 overall record into the matchup. The Raiders finished 8-5-1 in District 3-4A.
The winner will advance to the next round of the UIL Class 4A postseason.
The Bridgeport track and field teams also began their season last week at a meet in Springtown. One of the team’s standout performers, junior pole vaulter Claire Moody, continued her strong run after a successful 2025 season by winning the event.
District competition is also underway for Bridgeport’s baseball and softball teams. The Sissies softball team is scheduled for district matchups this week at Burkburnett and Lake Worth.
The Bridgeport baseball team will face Eagle Mountain in a home-and-home district series.
In volleyball news, Bridgeport will be searching for a new head coach for the 2026 season. Chris Rudiger will not return to lead the program.
