Bridgeport boys basketball capped a memorable season with a postseason appearance for the first time since 2021, but their run ended quickly.
The Bulls fell to Dunbar, 87-66, in the Class 4A Division II Region I opening round Tuesday at Azle High School. Three Bridgeport players reached double figures: Julius Johnson and Owen Jones each scored 22 points, while Blake Morrow added 15. The Bulls finished the season 18-18.
District 4-4A boys soccer remains tightly contested. Bridgeport topped Decatur last Tuesday, 4-3, creating a tie for first place in the loss column. The Bulls can move into a first-place tie at 6-1 with a win at Burkburnett Monday. Bridgeport is 14-3 overall.
Lady Bulls soccer is winding down its season. They are scheduled to host Burkburnett Monday.
