It was an active week for the Cleburne Lady Jackets, who closed out their run at the Allen tournament over the weekend with a 2-2 showing. Cleburne picked up wins over Anna and Buda Hays, then opened this past week with a gritty 29-26 victory over Brock on Monday. The Lady Jackets now sit at 6-5 overall.

After playing 11 games in just two weeks, Cleburne will finally get time to rest, as the team is off during Thanksgiving week.

The Jackets boys team also endured a full slate as part of the annual Jacket Bowl tournament. Cleburne went 2-3, securing both wins against Lake Dallas. The Jackets are 3-3 to start the 2025-26 season and will travel to Weatherford on Tuesday.

In football news, senior wide receiver CJ Kensley continues to draw recruiting interest. Kensley, who missed the 2024 season due to injury, holds an offer from McMurry University in Abilene and could receive additional attention after proving he’s back to full health.
