Cleburne soccer is closing out the regular season with postseason implications for both programs.
Lady Jackets soccer has clinched a playoff berth in the Class 5A Division I bracket and appears poised to secure the district’s No. 2 seed. Cleburne sits third in District 8-5A with a 14-2-2 overall record and an 8-2-2 mark in district play. The Lady Jackets finish the regular season Tuesday at Mansfield Summit High School and Friday at home against Arlington Seguin High School. The playoffs are scheduled to begin Thursday, March 19, during the week of spring break.
Jackets boys soccer is holding onto the final playoff spot in District 8-5A with a 7-11-4 overall record and a 6-6 district mark. Joshua High School is chasing Cleburne for that final postseason berth. The Jackets face a challenging finish, traveling to Mansfield Summit on Tuesday before closing the regular season Friday at Arlington Seguin.
Jackets baseball stood at 11-2 entering the final games of its weekend tournament. District 8-5A play begins this week with a home-and-home series against Burleson Centennial High School.
