Cleburne opens District 7-5A play Friday on the road against Burleson Centennial. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Burleson ISD Stadium. The Yellow Jackets are 2-2, while Centennial is 1-3.
Cleburne dropped its final non-district game last week with a 50-15 loss to state-ranked Port Arthur Memorial. Quarterback Luke Stewart passed for 175 yards and a touchdown, and running back CJ Kensley added 120 rushing yards and a score.
Centennial has struggled this season, allowing at least 41 points in each of its three losses.
The Lady Jackets play two District 8-5A home matches this week, hosting Everman on Tuesday and Mansfield Summit on Friday. They began the week 9-17 overall and 1-3 in league play.
The cross country teams compete Friday in Granbury after running last week in Round Rock.
