Winter weather forced Corsicana athletics to adjust its basketball and soccer schedules this week.
Instead of both the boys and girls basketball teams playing host to Midlothian Heritage on Tuesday, those games were moved to Feb. 12.
Soccer schedules were also impacted. Tuesday’s matches against Midlothian were rescheduled for March 10. Friday’s matches at Kaufman were moved up to Thursday, conditions permitting, due to school district closures.
Tiger soccer is 6-4 overall and 1-1 in District 15-5A following a 2-0 loss at Terrell on Jan. 22. After the Kaufman match, Corsicana is scheduled to play host to Heritage on Tuesday.
Lady Tigers soccer is 1-6-1 overall and 0-2 in district play. They also suffered a 2-0 loss to Terrell on Jan. 22.
Lady Tiger basketball remains in the hunt for a playoff spot. Corsicana entered the week at 9-14 overall and 4-5 in District 15-5A heading into Friday’s road game at Kaufman. The Lady Tigers defeated Terrell last week, 57-38.
Tiger basketball is 4-16 overall and 1-6 in district play. Corsicana also traveled to Kaufman on Friday after dropping a 53-49 overtime decision to Terrell last week.
