For the first time in a while, the Corsicana Tigers control their playoff destiny as they enter the final two weeks of the regular season. Riding a three-game district winning streak, the Tigers have momentum heading into Friday’s senior night showdown against Midlothian Heritage at Community National Bank & Trust Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m., with pregame coverage beginning at 6 on 106.9 FM with Rusty Hitt, Ritchie Cutrair and Chuck Williams.
Corsicana enters the matchup 5-3 overall and 3-2 in District 6-5A, while Heritage sits at 5-3 and 4-1. The Jaguars, who won last year’s district title, have a history of deep playoff runs and will provide the Tigers with their toughest challenge yet.
Last week, Corsicana rallied for a 35-17 road win at Kaufman, powered by Mark Brown’s 220 rushing yards and three touchdowns. The Tigers erupted for 21 points in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
On the volleyball court, the Lady Tigers wrapped up their 2025 season with a 13-15 overall record and a 4-10 finish in District 15-5A.
