Corsicana senior Mark Brown has signed with Oklahoma State, capping a major recruiting shift sparked by a late-season coaching change in Stillwater. The standout two-way player finalized his commitment last week.
Brown had been pledged to North Texas under then–head coach Eric Morris. But after Morris accepted the head coaching job at Oklahoma State in late November, he and his staff successfully flipped Brown from the Mean Green. Recruiting services rated Brown as a three-star prospect, and he also held offers from UTEP and Washington State.
Oklahoma State signed Brown as a safety. He closed his Corsicana career with 12 forced fumbles and three interceptions. Offensively, Brown contributed nearly 700 rushing yards and nine touchdowns this fall, averaging 10 yards per carry. He also averaged 22 yards per reception with two touchdown catches.
Brown will enroll early and is expected to report to Stillwater in January.
