Corsicana athletics will remain at the Class 5A Division II level for the next two years, the University Interscholastic League announced Monday. Separate districts will apply for football and other sports.
For football, the Tigers will compete in District 7-5A in Region II alongside Arlington Seguin, Burleson, Ennis, Everman, Joshua, Mansfield Timberview, and Midlothian Heritage. The district mirrors the 2022-23 alignment, with the only change being Mansfield Timberview replacing Mansfield Summit. Head coach Eugene Robinson’s team will also play a non-district schedule against Irving, North Mesquite, and Hallsville.
In other sports, Corsicana will remain in District 15-5A in Region II, sharing the district with Cedar Hill, Crandall, DeSoto, Ennis, Lancaster, Midlothian, and Midlothian Heritage. All realigned districts begin competition in August with volleyball.
