CORSICANA, Texas — The 2025 football season begins tonight as the Tigers travel to Johnson County to face Cleburne. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Head coach Eugene Robinson enters his second season leading the program. Junior quarterback Kevin Pointer, a move-in from Waxahachie, will make his debut as the Tigers’ starter. Corsicana wrapped up fall camp last week with its second scrimmage at home against Tyler Legacy.
Cleburne also debuts a new head coach. AJ Sheppard, formerly the defensive coordinator at Mansfield Lake Ridge, takes over the Yellow Jackets.
Pregame coverage on 106.9 FM begins at 6 p.m. Rusty Hitt will be on the call, with Ritchie Cutrair providing play-by-play and Chuck Williams reporting from the Corsicana sidelines.
In volleyball, the Lady Tigers are competing this week in the Forney Tournament, which runs through Saturday. They lost to Royce City on Tuesday.
