Corsicana athletics are entering a critical stretch as spring sports push toward postseason play.
Tiger soccer has two crucial road matches remaining to boost their playoff hopes. They play Ennis High School Friday and Midlothian High School Tuesday. The Tigers are currently 11-8-1 overall and 6-5-1 in District 15-5A after a 3-3 draw with Red Oak High School on Tuesday. Gustavo Morales scored twice to keep Corsicana in the hunt following a 5-3 loss to Midlothian Heritage High School last Friday.
Lady Tiger soccer mirrors the boys’ schedule, with matches at Ennis and Midlothian still to play as their season winds down.
Lady Tiger softball sits at 8-9-1 for the season. They dropped their District 15-5A opener, 13-1, to Crandall High School Tuesday and will host Terrell High School Friday.
Tiger baseball continues a strong start, opening the Ennis Tournament Thursday after going 4-0 in last week’s Irving event. The team is now 9-1 on the season.
