Corsicana – The Corsicana Tigers return to action Friday after their bye week to face Mesquite Poteet in District 6-5A play. Kickoff is 7 p.m. at Community National Bank and Trust Stadium.
Corsicana is 2-3 overall and 0-2 in district, while Poteet is 2-3 and 1-1. The Tigers are searching for their first district win as they aim to climb back into playoff contention. They showed progress in their last outing, a 38-30 loss at Crandall on Sept. 26.
Fans can hear the game on 106.9 FM The Ranch, with pregame coverage beginning at 6 p.m. The broadcast team features Rusty Hitt, Ritchie Cutrair and Chuck Williams.
Lady Tigers volleyball is 12-11 overall and 3-6 in District 15-5A, hosting Midlothian Heritage on Friday. At the district cross country meet Monday in Crandall, the Corsicana boys finished fifth and the girls placed seventh.
