CORSICANA, Texas — Corsicana opens District 6-5A play Friday at 7 p.m. at Community National Bank & Trust Stadium. The Tigers are 2-1. Last week, Corsicana posted a 23-0 road win. Quarterback Kevin Pointer threw for 103 yards and a touchdown. Jaqualin Walker returned a punt 63 yards for a score, and the defense recorded a safety.
Pregame coverage begins at 6 p.m. on 106.9 FM with Rusty Hitt, Ritchie Cutrair and Chuck Williams, followed by kickoff at 7 p.m.
Lady Tiger volleyball hosts a district match Friday. Corsicana is 8-7 overall and 1-2 in District 15-5A. The team lost its two most recent matches.
