Decatur – The Decatur Eagles can clinch a playoff berth with a win Friday night. They return home to Eagle Stadium to face Western Hills of Fort Worth. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

Decatur enters the game 4-2 overall and 3-0 in District 5-4A. Western Hills is 2-3 and 1-1.

The Eagles are coming off a dominant 83-7 win over Diamond Hill-Jarvis. Decatur ran only 29 offensive plays, yet quarterback Rhys Ragan threw for 150 yards and three touchdowns on seven completions.

Decatur is heavily favored against Western Hills.

The No. 12 Lady Eagles volleyball team is 33-5 overall and 8-2 in District 7-4A. They were at Lake Worth on Tuesday and host Burkburnett on Friday. A playoff spot could be clinched this week.

Both Decatur cross country teams captured the District 7-4A titles last week on their home course. Senior Tate Clackler won the boys individual championship, and sophomore Maddyx Coffman placed second for the girls. Both squads advance to the Region I meet.
