DECATUR, Texas — The Eagles will look to bounce back Friday when they travel to Munson Stadium to face Denison. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. near the Red River.
Decatur opened the 2025 season with a 52-31 loss to Brock, ranked No. 4 in Class 4A Division II. Quarterback Rhys Ragan threw a pair of touchdown passes and helped generate big plays, but the Eagles could not keep pace with Brock’s offense, which finished with nearly 450 yards.
Denison began its season with a 28-16 win over Sherman in the Red River Rivalry.
In volleyball, the Lady Eagles enter the week 22-3 after earning the bronze medal at the KSA Invitational in Orlando, Fla., last weekend. They finished 7-1 in tournament play. Decatur will return to action Friday at home against Grapevine.
The cross country program will host the Decatur Assault at Eagle Summit on Saturday.
