The top-ranked Decatur Lady Eagles wrapped up the regular season Tuesday at home against Burkburnett, finishing unbeaten in District 7-4A and turning full attention to another postseason push.

The Lady Eagles, the District 7-4A champions, entered the finale 30-4 overall and a perfect 13-0 in league play. The program also carried two impressive streaks into the week: an 18-game overall winning streak and a 40-game district winning streak. Playoff action begins Monday, with Decatur opening the Class 4A Division I postseason against Carter-Riverside. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Azle.

On the boys side, the Eagles are closing out their season. Decatur hosted No. 8 Burkburnett on Tuesday and will finish the week at home against Lake Worth on Friday. The Eagles started the week 9-18 overall and 3-8 in district play.

Soccer remains strong for Decatur as well. The boys opened the week 9-0-2 overall and 2-0 in District 4-4A, with their lone match Tuesday against Graham. The Lady Eagles followed the same schedule, entering the week 4-6 overall but undefeated in district play at 2-0.
