
EAGLE MOUNTAIN — Head coach Jeremy Mullins’ program begins District 3-4A play this week after a bye. The Knights look to return to the postseason for the second straight year, just two seasons into varsity play.
Eagle Mountain closed non-district competition two weeks ago with a 46-15 win over Benbrook. The Knights are 4-1 overall. Running back Terry Starks has rushed for 832 yards and 10 touchdowns and could reach 1,000 yards as early as this week. Defender Tyler Self added a pick-six earlier this season.
The Knights visit state-ranked Brock on Friday. Kickoff is 7 p.m. The Eagles are 5-0, averaging 60 points per game and ranked No. 7 in Class 4A.
The Lady Knights volleyball team continues to lead District 7-4A after sweeping Decatur and Krum last week. They improved to 25-11 overall and 8-0 in league play and hosted Burkburnett on Tuesday.
Eagle Mountain cross country also competed Monday at the District 6-4A meet in Brock.
