FORT WORTH, Texas — The 2025 football season begins Friday for Eagle Mountain as the Knights enter their second year as a varsity program.
The Knights wrapped up fall camp last week with their second scrimmage, against Castleberry of River Oaks. Eagle Mountain went 3-8 in 2024 but still reached the Class 4A Division II state playoffs.
The opener will take the Knights on the road to Jacksboro for a 7 p.m. kickoff. The Tigers, who defeated Eagle Mountain 47-13 in the Knights’ inaugural game last season, went on to finish 9-4 with a playoff appearance. Head coach Jeremy Mullins leads Eagle Mountain into its second season following a full offseason of preparation.
In volleyball, the Lady Knights are competing this week in the Volleypalooza tournament in Leander, which runs Thursday through Saturday. They are 12-7 on the year after going 4-4 in the Northwest tournament last week.
Eagle Mountain cross country is scheduled to compete Friday in Azle.
