EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Texas — Eagle Mountain pulled off a dramatic road win last week, topping No. 3 Class 3A Paradise 34-27. The Knights improved to 2-1 under head coach Jeremy Mullins.
Trailing 27-26, running back Terry Starks scored on a 42-yard run with 28 seconds left for the game-winning touchdown. Eagle Mountain’s defense sealed the victory with an interception on the final play. Quarterback Brycen Vindiola threw for 173 yards and a touchdown.
The Knights return home Friday to face 1-2 Ferris in a 7 p.m. kickoff.
Lady Knights volleyball faced a tough test Tuesday at Springtown, a 4A state power and District 7-4A rival ranked No. 13 in the state poll. Eagle Mountain started the week 19-11 overall and 2-0 in district play after sweeping Krum and Burkburnett last week.
