Tuesday night served as a benchmark for Eagle Mountain basketball as the Knights hosted No. 7 Krum in a matchup of early co-leaders in District 7-4A. Both teams entered the game undefeated in district play at 3-0. The Knights began the week at 12-10, while Krum was 17-5. Eagle Mountain bounced back last week with decisive victories over Castleberry, 72-48, and Decatur, 60-41. The Knights travel to Springtown Friday for their next district contest.
Lady Knights basketball is in the thick of the District 7-4A playoff race. Entering the week at 12-13 and 2-3 in league play, the Lady Knights also faced Krum Tuesday and will travel to Springtown Friday. Last week, Eagle Mountain’s girls easily defeated Castleberry, 77-12, but fell to No. 1 Decatur, 65-40.
In soccer, the Knights boys are off to a strong start at 3-0 following a 1-0 win over Pilot Point Friday. They hosted Southwest on Tuesday and travel to Alvarado Friday. The Lady Knights improved to 2-3 after a 2-0 win over Pilot Point Friday. They shared the doubleheader with the boys against Southwest Tuesday and will travel to Class 6A Haltom Friday.
