The Eagle Mountain Knights basketball teams are entering a pivotal stretch of District 7-4A play. On Tuesday, the boys traveled to No. 8 Burkburnett in a clash that would determine the second playoff seed behind first-place Krum. Both teams came into the game tied for second place at 4-1 in district action, with Eagle Mountain holding a 12-11 overall record. The Knights will close out the first half of the district season Friday at home against Lake Worth.
The Lady Knights began the week at 13-14 overall and 3-4 in 7-4A, just one game out of the final playoff spot. They opened the second half of the district season Tuesday at second-place Krum and will host Lake Worth on Friday. Last week, the Lady Knights split games, defeating Krum but falling to Springtown.
Eagle Mountain soccer continues its non-district schedule. The Lady Knights were 3-4 before Tuesday’s match against Diamond Hill-Jarvis and travel to Mineral Wells Friday. They split games last week, beating Southwest but losing to Haltom. The boys team entered the week 3-1-1 before traveling to state power Bridgeport Tuesday and will host Brownwood Friday.
Fans are advised to monitor winter weather forecasts and check the school’s website and social media accounts for any potential schedule changes.
