Winter weather forced Eagle Mountain athletics to shift multiple contests last week. Both boys and girls basketball games originally scheduled at Bridgeport on Tuesday were moved to Thursday due to poor road conditions. Meanwhile, home soccer games — the girls against Bridgeport and the boys against Poly of Fort Worth — were rescheduled for Wednesday.

Knights basketball stands at 13-12 overall and 5-2 in District 7-4A after splitting last week. Eagle Mountain fell to No. 8 Burkburnett, 77-63, but rebounded with a 76-45 victory over Lake Worth. The Knights are currently in third place and host Castleberry on Friday.

Lady Knights basketball is 14-15 overall and 4-5 in district play. They also split last week, losing to Burkburnett, 64-43, and defeating Lake Worth, 55-31. Like the boys, the Lady Knights host Castleberry on Friday.

Knights boys soccer improved to 4-1-2 with a win over Bridgeport and a draw against Brownwood last week. Lady Knights soccer is 4-5 after a victory over Diamond Hill-Jarvis and a loss to Mineral Wells.
