The Glen Rose Tigers boys basketball team is set to open the Class 4A Division II postseason Monday, facing a significant challenge in ninth-ranked Lubbock Liberty. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Abilene High School. Glen Rose enters the matchup 24-10, while Liberty is 27-4 and riding an 11-game winning streak, making this a critical test for the Tigers.

The Tigers completed the regular season Tuesday with a 69-61 victory over Brownwood, finishing second in District 6-4A with an 8-2 mark. Glen Rose will enter the playoffs as the second seed in Region I behind top-seeded Glen Rose.

Meanwhile, the Lady Tigers’ season concluded Monday when the 12th-ranked Lubbock Liberty defeated Glen Rose 42-29 in the opening round at Abilene Christian University. Glen Rose finishes the year 20-17 overall.

On National Signing Day, girls golf standout Caitlyn Frush signed with Southern Arkansas University.
