The Glen Rose Lady Tigers golf team is preparing for the Class 4A state tournament, scheduled for Monday and Tuesday at Legends Golf Course in Austin. The team is led by Region I champion Alyssa Lester. Glen Rose finished second as a team at the regional tournament two weeks ago in Lubbock.
The Class 4A Region I track and field meet is being held Friday and Saturday in Lubbock. Glen Rose qualifiers include Tyson Sullivan in the 300-meter hurdles and Olivia Evertson in the 1,600.
The season has concluded for both Glen Rose baseball and softball. The Tigers’ weather-adjusted playoff series against Lubbock Liberty ended Wednesday, with Glen Rose being swept in the Class 4A Division II Region I opening round, 2-1 and 7-5, at Abilene Christian. The Tigers finish the season with a 15-18 record.
The Lady Tigers softball team also saw its season end last week in the Class 4A Division II Region I opening round. Andrews swept the best-of-three series, 7-0 and 10-0. Glen Rose concludes the 2026 season with an 18-15-1 record.
