A new era for Tigers football begins Friday. New head coach Jeff Pair is set to make his debut as the new leader at Glen Rose, and his team has quite the challenge in front of it.
The Tigers meet the always explosive Grandview Zebras. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.
The teams split their meetings in 2024 and 2025. Glen Rose won in 2024, while Grandview won last year.
Junior quarterback Judd Connally returns as a second-year starter for the Tigers. He grew a lot from the 2025 opener against these Zebras. It should be interesting to see how far his development has come during the just-completed offseason.
Grandview is coming off an appearance in the 2025 Class 3A Division I state championship and finished 13-3.
Lady Tigers volleyball is competing in the Joshua Showcase on Friday and Saturday in Johnson County. Glen Rose is 9-12 with a little momentum entering the event.
The Lady Tigers have won their past two matches, including a sweep of Godley this past Tuesday.
