Glen Rose – The Glen Rose Tigers open District 4-4A play Friday at home against Godley. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
The Tigers endured a 0-5 non-district start but showed improvement late in that stretch, averaging 400 yards per game. Coach’s staff says the district race is wide open, as no team in the six-team group finished non-district play with a winning record. Godley enters at 2-3 after two straight wins before its bye.
The Lady Tigers volleyball team opens the second half of its District 6-4A schedule Friday at Mineral Wells. Glen Rose is 23-14 overall and 3-2 in district after close losses to Stephenville and Brock.
The Glen Rose boys and girls cross country teams competed Wednesday at the District 6-4A meet in Brock.
