GRAHAM, Texas — The Steers will look to bounce back Friday when they host Whitesboro at Newton Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Graham enters 1-1 after a 36-7 loss last week to Springtown. Dylan Cox scored the Steers’ lone touchdown on a second-quarter run, but Springtown’s rushing attack proved too much.
Whitesboro is off to a 2-0 start with wins over Paris North Lamar and Bells.
In volleyball, the Lady Blues carried a 21-5 record into the week and are ranked No. 17 in the Class 4A state poll. They faced Bowie on Tuesday and will travel Friday to Wichita Falls Legacy. Last Friday, Graham pulled out an epic five-set victory over Iowa Park, winning the decider 15-13.
The Steers’ cross country teams are scheduled to run Wednesday in Glen Rose after competing last week in Wichita Falls.
