Steers basketball wrapped up their non-district schedule this past Monday with a matchup against the Abilene Hawks, a homeschool Christian-based program, not to be confused with Abilene High School. Graham entered the week 14-9 overall, riding a three-game winning streak that included a 48-47 victory over Childress and a 66-50 win at Clifton. The District 6-4A season opens Friday at No. 16 Brock.
The Lady Blues are looking to rebound from a rough stretch, having lost five straight heading into this week. They are 8-14 overall and opened District 6-4A play with a 35-26 loss at Glen Rose last Friday. The Lady Blues travel to Stephenville Tuesday and Brock Friday for district matchups.
Soccer also continues for Graham, with Lady Blues soccer at 5-0-1 and Steers soccer at 1-5 to start the season. Both teams played a doubleheader against Springtown on Monday.
