Graham Steers basketball is moving deeper into the District 6-4A season. The Steers entered the week at 15-10 overall after a dominant 82-34 victory over the Abilene Hawks in their final non-district game on Jan. 12. District play got off to a tough start with a 63-41 loss at No. 15 Brock on Friday. This week, Graham hosted Brownwood on Tuesday and travels to Mineral Wells on Friday.
The Lady Blues are struggling in district play, sitting at 8-16 overall and 0-3 in 6-4A as the week began. Last week saw two heavy defeats to Stephenville and No. 3 Brock. The Lady Blues hosted No. 9 Brownwood Tuesday and travel with the boys to Mineral Wells Friday.
Graham soccer has also seen mixed results. Lady Blues are 7-1-3 and played at Abilene Cooper Monday before traveling to Kennedale Friday. The boys’ team is 1-7-1 after snapping a five-game losing streak with a 1-1 draw against Abilene High last Friday. Both soccer teams share the doubleheader with the boys and girls at Kennedale on Friday.
