Winter weather forced Graham athletics to make multiple schedule adjustments last week. Both boys and girls basketball games originally set for Tuesday at Glen Rose were moved to Wednesday due to poor road conditions. Similarly, Friday contests were shifted to Thursday to avoid North Texas winter storms.
Lady Blues basketball dropped a district contest at Mineral Wells, 44-37, falling to 8-18 overall and 0-5 in District 6-4A play. Following the Glen Rose matchup, Graham hosts Stephenville on Friday.
Graham Steers are off to a strong start in district play at 2-1. Last Thursday, they won at Mineral Wells, 56-32, following a 59-35 blowout of Brownwood the previous Tuesday. The Glen Rose meeting is a key matchup as the Tigers hold an early 3-0 lead in the district title race. The Steers will host Stephenville on Friday.
