The Graham Steers are headed back to the playoffs. With last Friday’s 42-0 win at Mineral Wells, Graham secured a postseason berth after defeating the bottom three teams in District 3-4A. The Steers improved to 6-2 overall and 3-0 in district play.
In the victory, Dylan Cox led the way with three rushing touchdowns as the Steers continued their dominant district run.
Now, the focus shifts to the district title chase. Graham visits state power and undefeated Brock on Friday in a matchup that could decide the championship. Both teams sit at 3-0 in league play, and kickoff is set for 7 p.m. The matchup serves as a rubber game of sorts. Graham won the regular season meeting in 2024, while Brock claimed the playoff rematch.
On the volleyball court, the Lady Blues are playoff-bound despite a tough finish to the regular season. Graham dropped its final four matches and ended the season 27-13 overall and 3-7 in District 6-4A. The Lady Blues played a warmup match Monday against Abilene and will open the postseason at 6 p.m. Thursday against Frenship Memorial in Sweetwater.
