The Graham Steers boys basketball team is headed to the postseason, but not before closing out the regular season this week.
Graham wrapped up district play Tuesday night on the road against Stephenville. The Steers entered the finale with a 19-14 overall record and a 4-5 mark in District 6-4A, sitting two games ahead of Brownwood for the final playoff spot with one game remaining.
The Steers split their final week of regular-season action, earning a win over Mineral Wells before falling to Glen Rose. Details regarding Graham’s postseason opponent and playoff site were expected to be announced later in the week. Updates will be posted through the school’s official website and social media channels.
On the girls side, the Lady Blues closed the season on a positive note last week with a 45-34 victory over Mineral Wells in the finale. Graham finished the year 9-22 overall and 1-9 in District 6-4A play.
National Signing Day was also held Feb. 4, with three Graham athletes signing National Letters of Intent. Quarterback Jace Gill signed to play football at University of Nebraska at Kearney. Baseball player Trip Mahaney committed to Hardin-Simmons University, while softball standout Tiffany Cotter signed with Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
