Graham athletics will remain at the Class 4A Division II level for the next two years, the University Interscholastic League announced Monday in its biannual realignment. Football and other sports will follow slightly different district assignments.
For football, the Steers are placed in a six-team District 4-4A, Region I, alongside Bridgeport, Brock, Iowa Park, Burkburnett and Mineral Wells. Head coach Clay McChristian’s team will play a five-game non-district schedule against Godley, Eagle Mountain, Paradise, Brownwood and Peaster. The district schedule has been set, with Graham slated for three road games.
In all other sports, Graham remains in District 6-4A with Brock, Brownwood, Glen Rose, Mineral Wells and Stephenville. Lady Blues and Steers will compete in these familiar matchups.
The realigned districts take effect in August with the start of volleyball.
