The football offseason may be complete, but Graham is turning its attention to the summer 7-on-7 season.
The Steers are aiming to qualify for the Texas State 7-on-7 Tournament, scheduled for June 25-27 at Veterans Park in College Station. Graham is currently in the middle of a four-week qualifying schedule. The Steers competed Saturday at Justin Northwest and will also play Friday at Mineral Wells, May 30 at Brownwood and June 6 at Tuscola Jim Ned.
Head football coach Clay McChristian has also made changes to his coaching staff. One junior high coach has been promoted to coach the wide receivers, while the program still has one coaching position open.
Graham also announced a new girls basketball coach. Preston Hodge has been hired to lead the Lady Blues program after serving as an assistant coach at Keller Timber Creek. This will be Hodge’s first head coaching position.
Graham hopes Hodge can help turn around a program that went 9-22 during the 2025-26 season and has missed the playoffs in each of the past four years.
