It’s time to start playing for keeps. The Steers open the 2026 season Friday against the Godley Wildcats. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Newton Field.
This past Thursday, Graham completed the second of its two scrimmages against Boyd. Just like in recent seasons, the Steers will play a five-game non-district schedule.
Senior Cooper Corley makes his debut as the starting quarterback. He’s hoping to lead Graham to another deep postseason run. Last season, the Steers advanced to the Class 4A Division II regional semifinals and finished 9-4.
Lady Blues volleyball had a challenging non-district match Tuesday, playing host to defending Class 3A Division II state champion Boyd.
Graham moves on to the Callisburg Tournament from Thursday through Saturday. The Lady Blues went 5-3 in their Lu Allen Tournament last weekend and are 12-6 entering this week.
