GRAHAM, Texas — The 2025 football season begins Friday for the Steers, who look to build on last year’s deep playoff run.
Graham closed fall camp last week with its second scrimmage, against Godley. The Steers finished 12-2 in 2024 and advanced to the Class 4A Division II state quarterfinals. The offense will feature a new quarterback following the graduation of Ty Thompson, who accounted for more than 3,700 yards and 42 total touchdowns last season.
The season opener will take Graham to Midland to face TAPPS power Midland Christian. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Friday.
In volleyball, the Lady Blues continued their tough non-district schedule with a road match Tuesday at state power Boyd. They will head to the Denver City tournament Thursday through Saturday. Graham entered the week at 15-2 after going 7-1 in its own tournament last week.
