
Graham – The Graham Steers opened District 3-4A play with a strong performance last Friday, defeating Burkburnett 37-14 on the road. The win moved Graham to 4-2 on the season.
Senior quarterback Jace Gill had his biggest outing of the year, throwing for 300 yards and two touchdowns. Junior receiver Brodie Martin added 100 receiving yards and a score, while the Steers’ rushing attack produced 200 yards to give the team 500 yards of total offense.
Graham hosts Bridgeport this Friday in its district home opener at Newton Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. The Bulls are 1-5 after a 49-28 loss to Mineral Wells in their district opener.
The Lady Blues volleyball team faces a challenging District 6-4A slate this week with matches against Glen Rose on Tuesday and Stephenville on Friday. Graham entered the week 27-9 overall and 3-3 in district play, sitting in fourth place.
The Steers’ cross country season concluded last week at the District 6-4A meet in Brock.
