GRAHAM, Texas — Graham bounced back with a 35-7 win over Whitesboro at Newton Field last week. The Steers improved to 2-1 behind a balanced attack.
Senior quarterback Jace Gill threw for 202 yards and a touchdown and added two rushing scores. Gill and four other ball carriers combined for 219 yards and four additional touchdowns. Dylan Cox accounted for two of the rushing scores. Graham’s defense allowed fewer than 160 yards.
The Steers travel Friday to face Decatur in Wise County. The Eagles are 1-2 after a loss to Argyle Liberty Christian. Kickoff is 7 p.m. Graham won last year’s meeting 34-14.
Lady Blues volleyball enters the final week of non-district play at 23-5 and on a four-match winning streak. Graham played at Abilene Christian on Tuesday and hosts Wichita Falls Memorial on Friday.
Graham cross country teams compete Wednesday in Poolville after running in Glen Rose last week.
