It was a wild night for the Granbury Pirates last Friday against Richland. The game didn’t end in a win, but it featured some remarkable offensive performances in a 63-40 loss to the Royals.
Senior quarterback Austin Reeves threw for 352 yards and six touchdowns: yes, six. Receiver Miller Schenewark caught three of those scores and finished with 142 yards, while running back Hunter Rodgers added 111 yards on the ground.
The two teams combined for more than 1,000 yards of total offense in the shootout.
Granbury sits at 2-5 overall and 1-4 in District 3-5A play. The Pirates’ playoff hopes hinge on winning their final three games and getting some help along the way. KHITS 95.5 will have live coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m. with Clayton Neville and Hayden Howerton on the call.
