The Granbury Lady Pirates basketball season came to an end with a challenging matchup against No. 2 and defending Class 5A state champion Denton Ryan. Denton Ryan rolled to a 51-19 victory in the Division I Region I opening-round playoff. Granbury struggled offensively but still finished the season 19-16 overall, tying for second place in District 5-5A. The season also marked the Lady Pirates’ sixth consecutive postseason appearance.
The Granbury boys basketball team wrapped up a difficult 2025-26 campaign with a 51-49 loss at Saginaw in the season finale, falling to a buzzer-beater. The Pirates finished 5-27 overall and 1-11 in district play.
In soccer, the Lady Pirates are 11-5-2 overall and 4-1-2 in District 5-5A action. After a scoreless draw with Aledo on Feb. 13, Granbury earned consecutive 3-1 victories over Saginaw Chisholm Trail and KFR. The boys are 4-11-1 overall and 0-5-1 in district play.
