Granbury senior Miller Schenewark closed out his decorated high school career Friday at the UIL Class 5A state track and field meet in Austin.
Competing at Mike A. Myers Stadium, Schenewark finished seventh in the high jump with a top clearance of 6 feet, 2 inches. The appearance marked his second and final trip to the state meet after also qualifying as a freshman.
The competition featured an elite field, with the top three finishers clearing 7-0, 6-11 and 6-10.
Granbury also celebrated several spring college signings last week. In girls basketball, sisters Jolie and Jayla Hayes signed with Howard Payne University in Brownwood. Swimmer Cameron Ward signed with McMurry University in Abilene.
Three Granbury powerlifters also signed to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.
