The Granbury High School Lady Pirates soccer team concluded its season Friday with a 3-0 loss to Grapevine in the Class 5A Division II Region I opening-round playoff at Eagle Mountain. Granbury finishes the season 15-8-1.

Granbury baseball continues a strong start to the District 5-5A season, posting a 4-0 district record. The Pirates swept Saginaw last week, 10-4 and 9-3, and also defeated Glen Rose in a non-district game Saturday. Granbury entered the week 11-6-1 overall and riding a six-game winning streak. The team will have a district bye this week, with only a non-district matchup Tuesday against Birdville.

Lady Pirates softball has struggled this season, falling to 8-17 overall and 0-5 in District 5-5A after run-rule losses to Brewer and district leader Aledo last week. Granbury has its first district bye this week, with only a home game Tuesday against Keller Fossil Ridge.
