Kerens Bobcats Sports Update – 9/24/25

Kerens closes out the non-district season Friday with a homecoming matchup against Scurry Rosser. Kickoff is 7 p.m. The Bobcats are 3-1 following a 45-7 rout of Dawson last Friday. Kerens has scored 92 points in its last two games.

Senior D’Mari Payne ran for 112 yards on 11 carries with a touchdown. Jachi Rooks rushed three times for 102 yards and a score. Quarterback Isaiah Jordan ran for 93 yards and two touchdowns. The defense also forced three turnovers.

Scurry Rosser is 0-4 and has lost a couple of games by one score.

Lady Bobcats volleyball opened District 21-2A play Tuesday with a home win over Cayuga. They play at Frankston on Saturday. Kerens finished non-district action with a 12-14 record. Junior Lyrik Gunnell is off to a strong start this season.
