Krum — The Krum Bobcats survived a tough finish Friday, rallying to defeat Van Alstyne 23-19. Krum led 17-7 entering the fourth quarter, fell behind 19-17, and then drove 70 yards for the game-winning touchdown. Quarterback Elijah Guerrero connected with AJ Criss on an 11-yard scoring pass. The Bobcats are 5-0 overall and 2-0 in District 5-4A.
Krum enjoys a bye this week to heal injuries and rest. The Bobcats return to action Oct. 17.
Lady Bobcats volleyball (18-14, 4-4 District 7-4A) split last week, beating Burkburnett and losing to Eagle Mountain. They play at Springtown Tuesday. Krum cross country competes at the District 7-4A meet Wednesday in Decatur.
