Seventh-ranked Krum continued its impressive stretch of play with another dominant week, extending its winning streak to six games and tightening its grip on District 7-4A.
The Bobcats posted a pair of lopsided victories. On Tuesday, Krum rolled past Decatur on the road, 78-33, before following up with a 94-51 home win over Lake Worth on Friday. The two victories came by an average margin of 44 points, underscoring Krum’s balance on both ends of the floor.
Krum enters the week at 17-5 overall and 3-0 in district play. The Bobcats will look to keep the streak alive Tuesday with a road game at Eagle Mountain.
The Lady Bobcats split their two district games last week. They ran into a tough matchup Tuesday at top-ranked Decatur, falling 102-31, but responded Friday with a convincing 65-24 win over Lake Worth.
Krum’s girls are now 15-12 overall and 4-1 in District 7-4A, tied for second place with Burkburnett. The Lady Bobcats currently hold the second seed after already defeating Burkburnett earlier in district play. Like the boys, they will travel to Eagle Mountain on Tuesday.
On the football front, Krum also picked up postseason recognition, as the Bobcats’ running back was named the District 5-4A Most Valuable Player.
